We can purchase a domain name for your website, or you can transfer an existing domain name to us, and we offer a start-up package which includes the purchase of a domain name, the hosting of a temporary web page and, unless you need to take some time to gather everything to go on your site, the cost of hosting until the site goes live.

Domain names range from the well known .com /.co.uk /.co.nz / .net addresses to the newer extensions, and we can buy almost anything that's available for you! We'll work with you to get you the name that's right for you; many names are already taken but, with a bit of creative thinking, there are still plenty of possibilities!

When you sign up for our start-up package, we will offer you more advice about getting a good domain name, check whether particular domain names are available, and, when you find one you like, we will buy it for you and take good care of it until your web pages are ready. We'll also make you a nice temporary home page in the meantime which will tell people that your site is coming and what it will be about.

Domain Name Options

When you sign up with us we ask for a few alterantive domain names because many of the popular names have been taken, but there are still a huge number of domain names available, and, of course, you can choose from one of a number of extensions, including .com, .co.uk, .co.nz .net .biz .org and dozens of other possibilities! If you want to check if your domain name is available try typing it into your browser's address bar and check if a website with that name already exists.

Below are some useful tips for choosing a domain name:

•  Make it easy to remember ~ so, when you meet people and tell them the name of your site, they have more chance of remembering the address when they get home, which means they are more likely to visit it and tell other people about it!

•  Avoid ambigous words or names that can be spelled more than one way e.g. 'weight' and 'wait'.

•  Consider using an alternative extension to .com e.g. www.zoom.com may already exist but maybe www.zoom.net or www.zoom.info might just be available instead.

•  Keep it short. Shorter urls are easy to remember and quicker to type (which is why some may not be available!)
